One example is their road marking device, which exhibits its most unique feature at airfields. The marking device can delineate a smooth, jointless and beautiful 90 cm-width line at a time, while other companies complete a line with the same width by drawing a 15 cm line several times. Tec Kinojyo also developed a road marking material, collaborating with Okayama University in Japan. The road marking paint named “ESUTERU LINE”, is more durable by adding a high-tenacity fiber into a conventional road marking material.

Although existing road marking materials are enhanced by increasing their hardness, they have problems such as easy cracking and slipping. On the other hand, ESUTERU LINE has attained improved flexibility and crack-resistance because of the fiber.

ESUTERU LINE exhibits superior performance especially on expressways, where road markings must be durable against the vehicle impact. ESUTERU LINE is expected to last 5 years, while existing lines need to be repainted in 2-3 years. Although ESUTERU LINE costs 1.5 times greater than conventional ones, its high durability can help reduce the frequency of marking installation work. This will eventually lead to reduce traffic congestion and accidents due to traffic restriction during the installation.”
